Social Welfare and Vocational Training Program

About the program

GFDLP has established the social welfare and vocational program to improve particularly the living conditions of internally displaced persons, and persons with special needs through life skill training and other rehabilitation activities so that they can become economically independent and regain their self-esteem. Specifically, the GFDLP Beauty Skills Initiative aims to train young women of age brackets 15-30 years on nail technology, salon management, make-up, hairdressing, barbering, massage therapy, beauty therapy, and other beautification services.  The goal is to render more young women self-dependent and less vulnerable to engaging in prostitution and other abusive coping strategies.
