Health Program
About the program
The health programs of GFDLP aim to support the improvement of the health status of the population, especially to ensure accessibility and affordability of qualitative healthcare for mothers, adolescents, and children, and health education and promotion in the rural areas to promote the patronage of health centers by the people instead of resorting to self-medication and unregulated use of herbal concoctions. To achieve this, in 2019, GFDLP created the St. Amara the Great Polyclinic, a GBV referral pathway to reach out to conflict-affected communities in the NWSW. The specific areas of focus for our health program include disease surveillance; fight against liver diseases; maternal and newborn health; health systems strengthening; immunization; HIV/AIDS, and reproductive health services.
