Nutrition Program

About the program

Malnourishment (especially micronutrient malnutrition) is the primary reason for several growth complications in children, and is a major cause of untimely death. Hence the nutrition program of GFDLP aims to support dietary improvement especially in the rural areas where poverty and ignorance may constrain parents and caregivers from providing babies/children with the appropriate dietary content and mix. Accordingly, the key area of focus of our nutritional intervention programs are: infant and young child feeding programs; malnutrition prevention and treatment, and nutrition in emergencies.
